About
I'm a freelance photographer and videographer based in Northern Ireland. I undertake a variety of photographic and videographic commissions – if there’s something I can help you with please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Observation Photos is named after Observation Point which overlooks Zion National Park in Utah. Although the most famous hike in the park is up to Angel’s Landing, the view from Observation Point is much more expansive.
The four mile long trail climbs 2,100 feet from the valley floor to a final elevation of 6,508 feet. The best times to visit are spring and autumn, when an early start will mean that you have the best chance of having the point to yourself and catching the best light.
Observation Photos also reflects my outlook on photography – not always settling for the obvious and always going the extra mile to get something special.
Thanks for looking,
Peter Thompson
